Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve initialization during a runaway by receiving a trigger pulse from a microcomputer, by outputting a pulse, which has longer width than that of the input pulse, from a pulse generator, and by connecting it to the reset terminal of the computer through a gate circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the power switch 2 of a microcomputer 1 is closed, a time constant circuit 3 consisting of a resistance (r), a capacitor (c), and a diode D rises to send a signal R having a level H to a reset terminal 5 through an NAND gate 4. Simultaneously, the computer 1 operates to send a trigger pulse T from an output terminal 6 to a pulse generator 7 such as a monostable multivibrator. Then, the generator 7 outputs a pulse M which has longer width than that of the pulse T, so the pulse M holds itself at the level H and the signal R falls down to a level L. If the pulse T is ceased owing to the runaway, etc., of the computer 1, the pulse M is inverted to the level L and the signal R rises up to the level H. Thus, initialization is performed in case of the runaway to restart the operation.
