Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct deformation by the shrinkage force of the time when weld beads solidify, and facilitate deformation correction by forming the molten beads in the bead layer on the projecting face side of welding materials deformed by welding.
CONSTITUTION: While the welding parts of the weld bead layer 2 on the projecting face side of aluminum alloy welding materials 1 causing deformation are shielded by a shielding gas 11, weld beads 2 are melted by a welding arc 12 under controlling of the quantity of weld heat input of the arc in accordance with rates of deformation, whereby molten beads 13 are formed. Deformation is caused by utilizing the shirnkage force generated at the time when the beads 13 solidify, and the deformation that has existed from before is corrected. In case when weld defects such as blowholes are generated in the previous beads 2, the weld defects are removed as well by both melting of the beads 2.
