Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic plate especially excellent in durability and abrasion resistance, by using a binder resin containing a specified thermosetting acrylic polymer for a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting polymer used as a binder is polymerized from >=1 monomers selected from a group of monomers represented by the formulaI in which R1 is H, CH3; X1 is -COOR2; R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl or 2-ethylhexyl, and a monomer represented by formula II in which R2 is H, CH3; X2 is a group represented by the formulas III, IV, or V, R4 being H or 1-4C alkyl, and R5 being H or CH3. An amine compound having a triazing ring represented by the formula VI or an epoxy resin or the like is used as a hardening agent. A charge transfer substance represented by the formula VII is contained together with said binder and said hardening agent in a charge transfer layer, thus forming a composite type electrophotographic plate. This plate has high surface hardness and abrasion resistance, and superior durability.
