Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the minimum width of a fine gap precisely by cutting the edge part of objects to be measured which form the fine gap by two optical cutting type measuring devices and observing said cut line. CONSTITUTION:The optical cutting type measuring device 9 comprising a light emitting device 11 and a light receiving device 12, and the optical cutting type measuring device 10 comprising a light emitting device 13 and a light receiving device 14 are provided at facing positions with respect to a plane along the fine gap 8, with an appropriate inclined angle being provided. The edge part 4 of a compressing chamber 2 and the edge part 5 of a rotary roller 3 are cut by optical bands emitted from the light emitting devices 11 and 13, the cut lines are observed by the light receiving devices 12 and 14, and the minimum width of the fine gap 8 is computed.
