Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the length of projection by measuring the quantity of light that passes through the space between the projection of the object and the applying tool that forms a space which is keeping a fixed distance from the object.
CONSTITUTION: Portion of the light beam 21 from the laser source 20 passes through the gap 26 between the end of the second object 2 projected from the first object 1 and the applying tool 10 that forms the shading part with the object 1 fixed to the table 22, the quantity of light is detected by the detector 23 to display itself on the meter 25. Since the light quantity of the laser beam is inversely proportional to the length of projection, the length of projection can be obtained by measuring the quantity of passing light.
