Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a means for safe operation when replacing instruments in the nozzle device of an enclosed tank containing inflammable gas or toxic gas by filling the nozzle with inert nitrogen gas and preventing the leakage of the gas stored in the tank.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 8 containing instruments and the like is inserted to an enclosed tank through a roof 18 and fixed thereon. Weights 1 and 2 are slidingly provided in the nozzle 8, the weight 1 being suspended by a wire 4 together with a liquid level gauge float 15 and guided to a guide 5 vertically fixed to the top of the weight 2 which is guided up and down by a wire 6 extended from a weight 3 to the nozzle 8, said weight 3 being guided to a guide 7 vertically installed on a tank bottom 17. A seal plate 9 is provided in the upper portion of the nozzle 8 to form chamber "A" and "B" when the weight 1 engages with it from below, and nozzles 11 and 12 being provided thereon to supply inert nitrogen gas non-reactable to the gas inside of the tank. The work in the nozzle of the above construction is done through a working hole 19 while the chambers "A" and "B" are formed and the leakage of the gas in the tank is prevented by nitrogen gas.
