Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the tube characteristic of a magnetron and to improve the production of yield, by locating the opening of an encapsulation tube while contacting with the open flat section of a magnetic pole chip thereby eliminating the gap. CONSTITUTION:An open edge 2b of a magnetic pole chip 2 is made approximately same with the outer-diameter of an anode tube 1 where the open edge 2b of the magnetic pole chip and the open edge 1a of the anode tube are sealed through arc welding. A flange-shaped open edge 10c formed with the outer-diameter shorter than that of said chip 2 is located to contact with the open flat section 2a of said chip 2, then said contacting section is sealed through plasma welding. Consequently the gap isn't produced between the magnetic pole chip and the sealing tube, thereby the shifting of center of the cathode structure and the deformation due to the inclination can be prevented resulting in the stable tube characteristic and the improvement of the production yield.
