Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress a rapid change of an armature current of a compound motor in an instantaneous variation of a mains voltage by magnetically connecting a series field circuit with a shunt field circuit in a transformer.
CONSTITUTION: A primary winding 11a of a transformer 11 is so constructed that a polarity of a voltage induced over both ends of the shunt field winding 5 will become inverse when a current flowing a series field winding 3 has changed. With this construction, an excited voltage to the shunt field winding 5 due to change of the series field current is compensated, so that change of the armature current can be small and deterioration of rectification in the motor can be prevented.
