Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform stopwatch-operation regardless of timer function, and, to prevent lag between setting time of timer and present time from occuring in an electronic timer device by interposing an input circuit between two LSIs. CONSTITUTION:If a switch S3 of an input circuit INC is set at a location shown with a solid line, and if a switch S1 is turned on, each of input terminals for time setting S, F, SEC of a circuit LSI2 turns 1 respectively and the LSI2 is set in a holding state of stopwatch-operation, and, then, if the S3 is made to change over to the location shown with a dotted line, timing operation counting time in minute and second is made to start. At this time, if a switch S2 is turned off, a time counted in minute and second is displayed through a display TDC. And, if the S3 is made to change over to the location shown with an alternate long and short dash line, the timing operation is brought to a halt and a time counted up to this time is displayed through the display DTC. Further, the circuit INC which is interposed between a circuit LSI1 and the circuit LSI2, which are having the timer function, applies a signal voltage Vc, which is the same signal as an actuating signal for timer, onto the circuit LSI2 at the time when the actuating signal for timer to be transmitted from the circuit LSI2 is absent.
