Abstract

PURPOSE: An abrasive material capable of easy abrading, without causing chemical change in a photosensitized layer or increasing creeping electrical conductivity of the surface of said layer, which comprises an inorg. solid abrasive grain and an org. solid abrasive grain.
CONSTITUTION: A polyalkylsilsesquioxane such as a polysiloxane having a crosslinking structure of the formula (wherein R is 1W5C alkyl) is used as an org. solid abrasive grain. Namely, an inorg. solid abrasive grain such as carborundum or cerium oxide of average particle size ≤ about 3μ is compounded with said org. solid abrasive grain of average particle size ≥ about 7μ in a wt ratio of about 1:9W9:1 to prepare an abrasive material.
