Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve resin impregnating property and to manufacture the high quality compound structural material by attaching thermosetting resin uniformly on the surface of a thermoplastic resin core material which is accommodated in a hermetically sealed chamber, supplying a fiber reinforcing material on the surface, and impregnating and hardening the resin.
CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin core material 1 which is continuously extruded and molded is introduced into the hermetically sealed chamber 4 for coating an FRP layer. The thermosetting resin composition 17 is supplied to a resin injecting part 14 from a resin tank 5, a catalyst tank 6, and an additive agent tank 7 through an agitator 8 at a constant rate and a constant pressure. Said resin composition 17 is uniformly attached to the surface of the core material 1. Then said core material 1 is introduced into a reinforcing material laminated part 15, coated by the fiber reinforcing material 3 which is supplied from a collecting plate 2 and a guide plate 12, and infiltrated by the composition 17. Thus the FRP layer 9 is formed. Then, the thermosetting resin is hardened by a hardening furnace 10, and the compound structural material 11 is obtained.
