Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a synthetic resin tube having economically advantageous merits, having good releasing property from molds, by a method in which a synthetic resin tube is set in elastic, flexible molds and an inorganic coating material is filled in an aperture between the resin tube and the surface of the cavity of the molds and hardened.
CONSTITUTION: In a split type mold 1 consisting of a lower mold 2 and an upper mold 3, each being made of an elestic, flexible material, e.g., synthetic rubber, natural rubber, etc., a synthetic resin tube a is held and then an inorganic coating material slurry is injected through an injection hole 5 into an aperture 7 and filled while discharging air in the aperture 7 from an exhaust port 6. When the aperture 7 is filled with the inoganic coating material, the injection hole 5 is stoppered and the inoganic coating material is cured for hardening. Then, the clamping of both the lower and upper molds 2 and 3 is released, the upper mold 3 is removed while bending the upper mold 3 outwards by utilizing the elasticity of the molds, and the lower mold 2 is also removed while bending the lower mold 2 outwards likewise. Thus, a synthetic resin tube with an inorganic coating layer can be obtained.
