Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture efficiently a substrate of rubber vibration insulator suitable for vibration insulation of a car engine mount and the like by molding rubber elastic material monolithically in a mold in which an inner and a large drum are inserted.
CONSTITUTION: An inverted bowl-type inner drum 1 having a small diameter hole 3 on the top wall and a circular outer drum 2 having a coller 4 are inserted into a mold consisting of a surface plate 5, a lower mold 6, aplit molds 8, 9 and an upper mold 7 with a projection p, a circular cavity 10 is provided among the upper mold 7, the outer drum 2, the split molds 8, 9 and the inner drum 1, and a narrow cavity 11 is provided between the inner drum 1 and the lower mold 6. Then liquid rubber elastic material is poured into the said cavities 10, 11, vulcanized, the inner drum 1 and the outer one 2 are hardened monolithically, then after these molds are removed, the small diameter hole 3 part is cut off on the level of the inside of the top wall of the inner drum 1 to form the substrate of rubber vibration insulation.
