Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the disturbance of the synchronization of a PLL circuit to shorten the restoration time, by providing a monostable multivibrator which detects the drop-out of an input synchronizing signal and by supplying substitutional pulses to the PLL circuit at the drop-out detection time. CONSTITUTION:When an input synchronizing signal is dropped out, a monostable multivibrator 1 is inverted, and this state is sent to a differentiating circuit 2. The differentiating circuit 2 differentiates the rise part of the monostable multivibrator 1 and sends the result to a waveform shaping circuit 3. The output of the waveform shaping circuit 3 is supplied to an OR circuit 4 together with a horizontal synchronizing signal, and they are added to interpolate the dropped-out horizontal synchronizing signal. Consequently, since horizontal synchronizing pulses without drop-out are supplied to a PLL circuit 5, the disturbance of synchronization of the PLL circuit is reduced, and the restoration time for the disturbance is shortened.
