PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure converter which shows high sensitivity only to low pressure and cuts off the pressure higher than a prescribed level, by providing a stopper to limit the malformation when the pressure higher than a prescribed level is applied to the inner wall of a takeout pipe on the rear surface of a pressure receiving diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A detecting diaphragm 4 is connected via a coupling rod 3 to a pressure receiving diaphragm 3 which is provided to the inside of a take-in pipe that takes the pressure out of a measuring part. At the same time, a stopper 2a is provided on the inner wall of the pipe 2 with a prescribed space kept to the rear surface of the diaphargm 3. On the other hand, a distortion gauge 6 is stuck to the diaphragm 4 to detect the distortion of malformation caused by the pressure, and the quantity of electricity caused in the gauge 6 is supplied to a meter via a cord 7. In such constitution, the diaphragm 3, when receiving the pressure higher than the limit of measurement, expands to the inside to contact with the face 2b of the stopper 2a. Thus the diaphragm 3 does not respond to the pressure higher than the limit of measurement.
