Abstract
PURPOSE: To identify from a distance position a tolerance range of dimensions of a work, and easily set a tolerance range, by displaying upper and lower limits of a dimension tolerance and a measured value on an indicator at once.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 1a of a measuring head 1 is connected to an air source AP via a throttle valve 1b. A detector 2 is adapted to detect a back pressure of a nozzle 1a and output a signal in accordance with outer dimensions Dw of a work W. This signal is applied to an A/D converter 3 and then to a master diameter memory circuit 4 and an arithmetic circuit 5. Before the dimensions of a work have been measured, the head 1 is fitted around the outer surface of a master M. When a push-button SW is then depressed, values Dm of dimensions of the master M are memorized in the circuit 4. The circuit 5 is adapted to operate a difference ΔD between data Dm from the circuit 4 and data Dw on the dimensions of the work, and output a signal to an indicator 6. An upper limit value U and a lower limit value L of a dimension tolerance and a measured value are displayed on the indicator at once.
