Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of a demagnetizing field, and also to execute recording with a high density, by adopting a transverse recording system having the magnetization which is not only parallel to the surface of a medium but also vertical in the track direction. CONSTITUTION:By use of a magnetic head having the magnetization in the vertical direction B' againt a track 21, for instance, by a helical scanning system, recording is executed. According to this method, information having track width W1', a track interval W2' and a magnetizing direction H' as indicated with an arrow B', and also being parallel to the surface of a medium is recorded on the magnetized medium 20. In this way, the influence of a demagnetizing field is made almost zero, also a peak shift is suppressed, and the recording is executed with a high density.
