Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an image free from deformation and to enable high speed scanning, by converting light transmitted or reflected by an original or a master photoelectrically with a solid-state image sensor. CONSTITUTION:A lamp 21 for original reflection or a lamp 27 for original transmission illuminates a reflector or transmission original 26, the reflected or transmitted image is converged with a lens 28, and formed on the imaging plate of a solid-state image scanner, such as a charge coupled device CCD or a bucket bridge device BBD. This image is photoelectrically converted and obtained from an output terminal 23 as the television signal. CCD22 is formed by arranging the charge coupled device in the XY directions with geometrical precision, and it is free from the geometrical deformation which a television camera using an image pickup tube has, and a time necessary for scanning one image is 1/30sec. The output signal is converted with an analog/digital converter 30 and recorded.
