Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of sealing parts and to produce liquid crystal display panels of good quality by providing sealing layers on large sized glass substrates in such a way that injecting port slits face the side surfaces and inner side of the glass, and assembling these then cutting and separating the assembly by scribing. CONSTITUTION:Sealing layers 3 are screen printed on a large sized glass substrate 6 and injection port slits 1 are provided in such a way as to face the side faces and inner side of the gass 6, after which a large sized glass substrates 6 superposed therein to assemble panels for plural pieces simultaneously. Next, scribs lines 7 are given between the slits 1 facing the inner part of the substrate 6, after which the substrates are forced and cracked along the lines 7 to expose the slit parts 1 on the side surfaces. Thence, the circumferences of the slit parts 1 are reinforced with sealing adhesive materials to provide reinforcing parts 8, and liquid crystal materials 10 are injected through the slit parts 1, after which the parts 1 are sealed. Thereby, panels are made in the central parts of the large sized glass substrates as well.
