Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a narrow-band transmission line by shortening burst length by suppressing a DC component in a burst without adding a blancing bit to the burst signal. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter 1 is fabricated of a shift register 11 storing odd- numbered information bits, a parity circuit 12 which outputs a parity signal 15, a coding circuit 13 which performs coding process according to the parity signal 15 by adding a burst synchronizing bit F to the information bits, and a trasmitting circuit 14. A receiver 2, on the other hand, consists of a receiving circuit 21, a polarity control circuit 24 which separates received pulses into positive-polarty and negative polarity ones and also converts bipolar pulses into unipolar pulses, a synchronizing circuit 22 which extracts burst synchronizing bits F, and a decoding circuit 23 which decodes the received signal made unipolar under the control of the extracted synchronizing signal and a polarity signal outputted from the polarity control circuit 24.
