Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent vibration from being caused by the imbalance of material in a rotary drum, by providing a controller for a fluid feeder to regulate the quantity of a fluid to be supplied into three enclosed chambers provided at equal intervals along the circumference of the rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:The vibration of a rotary drum 1, which is based on partial load 31 caused synchronously with the rotation of the drum, is detected by a vibration sensor 5, the output signal of which is amplified by an amplifier 6. The output of the amplifier 6 is changed into a digital signal by an AD converter 7. The digital signal is applied to a computer 11. A position detector 8 discrimintes among detection signals based on the positon marks 4, 4a, 4b of the rotary drum 1. The detection signals are matched through a position reader 9 and then applied to the computer 11. After that, a memory 18 for determining and storing an enclosed chamber to be supplied with a fluid decides to supply a fluid into enclosed chambers except for one corresponding to the position mark showing the maximum value Xm of mean vibration amplitudes at the time of detection of the position marks.
