Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the easy readout of figures without decreasing the number of print digits, by setting the print space produced by a dot matrix at the value larger than the prescribed dot row component with every 3 digits of the figure larger than the decimal point data and at the value equivalent to the prescribed dot row component between other digits. CONSTITUTION:A print data is supplied from a printing buffer 1 to a character generator 4 via a decoder 3 and with each digit, and at the same time the print position signal TP is supplied to a binary counter 14 of a 5-stage structure consisting of FFs with every shift equivalent to a dot row of a print head. Then the signals corresponding to the count value of the counter 14 are supplied to a decoder 15. Print drive signals P1-P7 are obtained via gate circuits 161-163, 131-137 and 191- 197 respectively. IN this case, a space arger than the prescribed dot row component is produced with every 3 digits of the figures larger than the decimal point data, and at the same time a space equivalent to the presribed dot row is produced between other digits. In such way, the figures are displayed with every digits to facilitate the easy readout of figures and without decreasing the number of print digits.
