Abstract
PURPOSE: To sharply reduce a cost per unit absorption energy and to enable making the size of a device small in ize, by a method wherein the center material of a core, formed of an elastic foaming substance, consists of a foaming substance whose foaming rate is lower than that of a spherical material.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of the employment of a core 1 to an axial tub built-in type fender, the core 1, in which an axial tube 2 with a double collar through a center part, consists of a center material 1a, formed of a foaming substance having a low foaming rate, and a spherical material 1b formed of a foaming substance having a high foaming rate. A outer layer 3 madeof highly concentrated rubber material covers around the core 1. An end surface part 3a of the outer layer 3 perfectly wraps an inner collar 4 and adheres firmly to the outer spherical surface of the end part of the axial tube 2 and the inner surface of the outer collar 5. The difference in the foaming rate is in a relative relationship, and it will be sufficient eought if the foaming rate of the center material 1a is substantially lower than that of the spherical material 1b. Additionally, the outer collar 5 has a freely rotatable collar 7 at the center, and the fender is mored at a quay through the collar 7 by means of a rope and the like.
