Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A raw material mixture of a phosphor consisting of CaHPO4, CaCO3, CaF2, Sb2O3, MnCO3 and NH4Cl or CaCl2 is compression-molded by using a press or cast-molded after kneaded by adding pure water to the mixture, to produce a cylindrical molded article. The molded article is calcined in a calciner to produce a phosphor. Said compression molding is conducted at a pressure of pref. 200W400kg/cm2. In the cast molding process, it is necessary to carry out drying for removing water prior to calcination.
