Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain titled fluophor having less attenuation of luminous flux and a good fluorescent efficiency, by conducting primary calcination, adding a flux to the calcined product after grinding and conducting secondary calcination, in producing titled fluophor by mixing predetermined raw material mixture and calcining the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: In producing a halophosphate fluophor by mixing predetermined raw material mixture such as CaHPO4, CaCO3, CaF2, CaCl2, NH4Cl, MnCO3 and Sb2O3 and calcining the mixture, the calcination is carried out in two stages. First, primary calcination is carried out for about 3W5hr at a temperature of about 1,120W1,180°C. The resulting calcination product is ground and charged with a flux such as SbF3, CaF2, CaCl2 or NH4Cl. Then, secondary calcination is carried out a temperature of about 1,120W1,180°C, thereby to eliminate surface roughness of fluophor and to improve crystallinity. Thereby, titled fluophor having a uniform particle size is obtained.
