Abstract

PURPOSE: To economically obtain the titled powder most suitable for a sintered magnet, etc. in an easy manner by mixing a specified amount of Na sulfate or the like as a flux into amorphous composite ferrite particles of Ba, Sr or the like and calcining the mixture by heating at a specified temp.
CONSTITUTION: One or more kinds of fluxes selected from the sulfates of Na, K, Li, etc. such as Na2SO4 and the chlorides, bromides, iodides, etc. of Na, K, etc. such as NaCl are mixed into amorphous composite ferrite particles of one or more among Ba, Sr and Sb as starting material by 5W90wt% to the total amount of the mixture, and the mixture is calcined by heating at a temp. above the eutectic point of the fluxes. Thus, the titled composite ferrite powder with perfect crystallinity free from an internal strain is obtd. easily and economically. Using this powder an anisotropic ferrite magnet of high performance can be manufactured.
