Abstract
PURPOSE:To cancel an error cause by exciting current by a method wherein a series circuit consisting of a diode and a resistor is provided in parallel with a resistor for detecting the output of a conventional DC transformer and the output is taken out from the former resistor. CONSTITUTION:When the direct current I1 of the primary windings of the transformers T1 and T2 equals zero, DELTAV equaling IeR3 is generated at the terminal voltage V1 of the resistor R3 by exciting current Ie generated by an AC voltage source e, but it is canceled by the diode D5. When I1 equals 100%, DELTAV is generated in two directions which are positive and negative to a true value and the positive DELTAV can be canceled by D5, while the negative DELTAV lowers slightly below the true value. In the ordinary range of measurement, however, negative V turns very small since the setting period of one iron core is considerably longer than the resetting period of the other, and thus there is almost no hindrance to the practical use of the device. By this constitution, the small-sized slitless-type DC transformer having improved performance and reliability is obtained only with the addition of a few circuits to conventional circuits.
