Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain efficient pumping action by attaching an impeller to a rotating shaft of a rotary pump in series with a rotor and providing negative pressure to the vane groove bottom through the rotation of said impeller thereby having the vane pump to perform the pumping action in low speed period and having a centrifugal pumping action at high speed period.
CONSTITUTION: In a rotary type pump having a vane 9 inserted in a vane groove 59 of a rotor 5, said vane 9 being slidable in the radial direction, a groove bottom 52 of the vane 9 having a pressure passage, an impeller 8 is attached to a rotating shaft 2 in series to the rotor 5. A concave groove 60 is provided on the inside wall of a side housing 6 of the impeller 8 and is connected to a suction port 81 of the impeller.
