Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect magnetic substance powder from oxidation by a method wherein compressed powder molding is performed after original surface of spin rearranged type ferromagnetic substance powder is covered with liquid which is non- flammable and has lubricity. CONSTITUTION:A rare-earth cobalt compound which is crushed to powder of approximately 1-2mum diameter and such liquid as liquid fluorocarbon which is not reactive to the rare-earth cobalt compound and is non-flammable and has lubricity are mixed and, filled in a cavity 6 of a mold 4 and molded by compressed powder molding. This compressed powder molding is performed at a higher temperature, for instance by 50 deg.C higher than a transition temperature which is necessary for a temperature sensitive magnetic substance element, at a pressure of 0.1-10t/cm<2> and in a magnetic field of 1-20KOe. Then the molded compressed powder is heated in argon at a temperature of approximately 1,150-1,250 deg.C for 30min, so that the temperature sensitive magnetic substance element is produced.
