Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize control when the water level of a dam, etc., fluctuates suddenly, by generating a control command for a gate while considering the rate of fluctuations of the water level by providing ≥2 ded zones for automatic control over the water level.
CONSTITUTION: As for fluctuations of a water level according to time , a reference water level held normally, and upper-limit set water level 11 for discharge when the water level exceeds the reference water level 10, and a low-limit set water level 12 for stopping the discharge when the water level decreases below the reference water level 10 are set. Between those upper-limit and lower-limit water levels 11 and 12, a dead zone (alowable width) 13 is set and in the dead zone 13, a water level dead zone 20 is provided to control the fluctuating water level 14. Then, when the water level 14 is above the upper limit of the dead zone 20 and below the upper-limit water level 11, an opening command time zone 21 is applied to a gate, etc., for the control as far as the rate of fluctuation of the water level is positive. Similarly, when the water level is below the lower limit of the dead zone 20 and above the lower-limit water level 12, the gate is controlled with a closure command time zone 22 only while the rate of fluctuations o the water level is negative, thus exercising stable control over sudden fluctuations of the water level.
