Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to adjust the temperature of cooling water within the fixed range at all times by a method wherein a three-way control valve is provided on the water supply pipe of a cooler, an air-pressure signal is converted to an electric signal and with this signal the three-way valve and an electrically-driven pump are interlockingly operated and the temperature of feeding water is controlled. CONSTITUTION:The three-way control valve 5 is provided on the water spply pipe 3, an end 5a of the three-way valve 5 and a drain pipe 4 are interconnected, a return pipe 7 with an automatic pump 6 is provided, and besides, the section of the return pipe 7, between the three-way valve 5 and the electrically-driven pump 6, and the drain pipe 4 are interconnected, and a by-pass pipe 9 with a relief valve 8 is provided. The diaphragm 5b of the three-way valve 5 is operated by the air pressure which was adjusted by a positioner 14 using the operation of a controlling structure, and a part of the high-temperature waste water running in the drain pipe 4 is mixed with the low-temperature cooling water running to the water supply pipe 4. Through these procedures, the cooling water to be fed to the cooler 2 can be maintained within the prescribed temperature range and the dew condensation on the surface of the cooler can also be prevented.
