Abstract
PURPOSE:To conserve the engine power output, in an air conditioning system capable of maintaining a constant cabin temperature, by controlling compressor operating rate on the basis of results of operation of the heat load with respect to a set cabin temperature and the cooling effect determined by engine speed. CONSTITUTION:The respective outputs of a function generator 20 and an adder 23 increase and the output of a subtractor 24 decreases when the difference of cabin temperature from a set cabin temperature increases due to the rise in the outside temperature, then the set value 28 of the temperature of supply air is lowered and the operating rate of the compressor is increased by the action of the function generator 25. When the intensity of solar radiation increases, the output of a counter 11 increases to increase the output of the adder 23. When the engine speed is increased, the output of the function generator 22 increases while the output of the subtractor 26 decreases so that the interrupting time of the output of a pulse generating circuit 27 is elongated. Power saving is attained, since the air conditioning system is controlled by operating the cabin temperature 10 to provide a heat load and the cooling capacity is provided through the operation of the engine speed.
