Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent increase of the contacting pressure to a wheel rim and to improve separation-proof property of bead, by a method wherein a curved surface, which is concaved outwardly, is formed in the bead of a tire, especially in the radial tire of an automobile.
CONSTITUTION: The part PWQ of bead which contacts to a wheel rim is made to be a curved surface, being concaved outwardly, and contacts to a wheel rim with wider surface when it is built in the wheel rim. With such an arrangement, deformation caused by the increase of contacting pressure to a bead can be prevented, and separation-proof property of the bead can be improved, though the utmost end of the rolling-up of a ply is positioned near the wheel rim flange.
