Abstract

PURPOSE:To effective prevent dripping of ink which might be formed at the front nozzle surface of an ink jet head and mixing of air bubbles in the head, by arranging a by-pass channel provided with a fluid impedance having a proper value in the ink-injection head. CONSTITUTION:Ink is fed into an injection head 1 through an oridinary-closed two-port valve V1 operated by valve ON/OFF timing controller 6 and injected from a nozzle part 1a. To this ink jet recorder a by-pass channel 2 provided with a fluid impedance 3 having a proper value (a mark 6 is filter and a mark 4 is a pressure sensor for control of a pump pressure) is attached. In addition, the by-pass channel 2 is provided with a normally opened two-port valve V2 operated by the timing circuit 6. At the initiation of ink jet-injection V2 is closed and V1 is opened. At the stop of the injection V2 is opened and then V1 is closed. Consequently, wasteful discharge of the ink (a part passing through the by-pass channel 2) during injection can be prevented.
