Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of disturbance rays and increase the rate of sensing responsiveness by amplifying signal waves and noises with a wide band amplifier then digitally processing the same and detecting only the signal wave components. CONSTITUTION:The noise rays from a modulating light source and an illuminating light source LSa, LSb from a light projector PRT incident to a photoelectric conversion circuit CNV of a photodetector RPT are converted simultaneously to electric signals. The outputs thereof are inputted via a wide band amplifier AMP and a waveform shaping circuit WS to the clear terminal CL of a counter CNTa, and pulses from a reference oscillator STG are applied to the clock terminal CK of the counter. When signal rays are shut off by an object to be detected DB, the noise components disappear temporarily and therefore outputs are obtained from the output terminal Qn of the counter CNTa, and a continuous detection signal is outputted from a monostable multivibrator MV. Thereby, the object to be detected is detected surely with the simple constitution.
