Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a galvanized sheet iron having good molding processibility, slow again property at room temp. and hardening property at baking by a method wherein a steel plate is subjected to alloying treatment and, successively, to partial precipitation tratment of carbon at a low temp. for a short time. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate comprising, in the wt% basis, 0.005-0.025C, 1.0 or less Si 0.03-0.06Mn, 0,20 or less p, 0.005-0.15 SolAl, Fe and inevitable impurities is subjected to alloying treatment and, thereafter, partial precipitation treatment of carbon holding said steel plate at 150-330 deg.C for 5-120sec. in a same zinc plating line is applied to said steel plate. Thereby, without developing a solid solution condition of carbon by rapid cooling of the steel plate after alloying treatment to a room temp., a part of solid solution carbon is precipitated to improve molding processibility and impart room temp. slow again property. If this treating temp. becomes longer, carbon precipitation is stabilized and it is pref. from a stand point of a material quality but, from restriction of a plating line, the upper limit of the temp. is provided and, therefrom, the lower limit of the temp is defined necessarily. On the other hand, if the upper limit of the temp. is exceeded, carbon precipitation becomes too perfect and hardening property at baking can not expected.
