Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the scum in a fermenting chamber from intruding into a gas take-out pipe and closing the same by disposing a float ball in the methane gas take-out port provided in the ceiling part of the fermenting chamber and providing a float ball depressing bar in the gas take-out pipe in a methane gas producer.

CONSTITUTION: The inside of a methane fermenting vessel 1 is separated to a storage chamber 3 and a fermenting chamber 4 by a partition wall 2, and a methane gas take-out pipe 6 is provided to the central part of the wall 2 at the ceiling of the chamber 4. A guide frame is provided at the inlet of the pipe 6, and a float ball 10 that can close the inlet is disposed therein. An ejecting bar 12 which is kept energized upward at all times by a spring 13 is beforehand installed in the pipe 6. At the time when the liquid level 7 in the chamber 4 ascends upon consumption of the methane gas, the float ball 10 ascends as well to close the gas take-out port, thereby preventing the scum 9 on the liquid surface 7 from entering the inside of the pipe 6 and closing the same. When the methane gas accumulates and the liquid level 7 lowers, the bar 12 is pushed downward to detach the ball 10 from the gas take-out port so that the methane gas is again taken out from the pipe 6.
