Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a development process by which a high-quality picture is formed regardless of a low level of the latent image potential, by giving a relative shift to a magnetic material unified with a magnet with a close distance to an image holding member and carrying out the development with use of a developer held by the magnetic matter. CONSTITUTION:The electric resistance between an isolated electric conductor 4 and a light tramsimissive electrode 5 varies by the exposure given from a supporter 2 via a photoconductive layer 3; while the electric resistance has no change between the conductor 4 and a light shielding electrode 6. Thus a partial pressure image is formed at an image holding member 1 containing a protector 8. Then a relative shift is given to the member 1 and a developer consisting of a magnet 9, and a magnetic member 10 holding a magnetic toner 11 with an extremely close distance to the member 1. As a result, the toner 11 attaches in good conditions to the member 1 by the electrostatic force produced by a latent image. In such process, a high quality picture is ensured although the latent image potential is set at a low level of voltage.
