Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor the control system with a high precision surely, by adding a monitor signal of a frequency lower than the response speed of the control system to the output of a counter, which indicates a rotary phase quantity, and by detecting the level of the monitor signal included in the control system by a circuit before addition of the monitor signal. CONSTITUTION:One of signals from inputs 1 and 2 is subjected to phase modulation for sensing by a phase modulator 3, and two signals are synthesized by a rotary phase shifter 4 to obtain an output 5. Amplitude-modulated wave components of the output 5 are detected by a detecting circuit 7 and are applied to a phase detecting circuit 11 of a phase control circuit 8 together with a sensing signal fc applied to the modulator 3. A gate circuit 12 to which a clock CL is inputted is controlled by positive and negative outputs of the circuit 11, and the clock CL is given to an up or down input of a counter 13 to obtain a value corresponding to the phase angle set to the phase shifter 4, and this value is added to an adder 14. This value is added to a signal obtained by converting digitally the monitor signal from a monitor signal generating circuit 20, and the obtained signal is applied to the phase shifter 4 through a ROM5 to monitor the control system.
