PURPOSE:To enable to perform a reliable test which is free from unevenness and error, by using a testing tool that can set a limit value of a torque, which releases the engagement of a claw and a handle part and brings the claw into rotation. CONSTITUTION:A test tool 27 is prepared, and a torque value, which releases the engagement of a claw 20 and a handle part and brings the claw 30 into rotation, is set. The value is set at a value which is somewhat smaller than that of a force required for pulling off of a small sized part 16 of a drive shaft coupled to a differential side gear 8 after removing a span ring 18. Then, the end of the claw 30 engages a projection member 26, and a middle bending part 32 is brought into contact with an end surface 25 of an extension part 24 of a final drive unit 9. Then, a handle part 28 of the test tool 27 is turned in a direction in which the driven shaft 4 is pulled off from the differential side gear 8. The drive shaft 4 comes out of a casing 10 or the claw 30 turns in a manner that the drive shaft 4 does not come out, and from either of them, it can be easily decided whether the drive shaft and the casing are reliably coupled.
