Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal oscillation of the transistor inverter device having a plurality of resonant circuits by a method wherein the switching control of the transistor Tr is performed with the signal obtained by subtracting a high frequency component from the electric signal of the composite output of each resonant circuit. CONSTITUTION:The transistor inverter consistes of a DC power source 1, transistors 2 and 3 and a transformer 4 and an alternative current is supplied to the discharge lamp as a load 11. On the other hand, the first resonant circuit which resonates to a fundamental wave is formed with an output winding 4b, capacitor 10 and the load 11, and the second resonant circuit which resonates to a higher harmonic (for example, a triple frequency of a fundamental wave) is formed with a capacitor 8, an inductor 9 and the load 11. The switching of the transistors 2 and 3 are performed with the differential voltage (substantially a fundamental wave) between the voltage generated at the winding 14 electromagnetically coupled to the inductor 9 and the voltage generated at the winding 13 electromagnetically coupled to the transformer 4.
