Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the electric power to be supplied to load and to restrict genneration of noise by a method wherein the ratio of time length of ON-time of a thyristor in a given time length is made to change in proportion to a controlling input signal. CONSTITUTION:A stable DC voltage is supplied from a DC electric power source circuit 1 to charge a capacitor C4 through a transistor Q1 in a ramp generater 2, a PUT conducts when the charging voltage thereof exceeds the prescribed voltage to reduce the terminal voltage of the capacitor C4 resulting in nonconducting of the PUT, charging of the capacitor C4 is started again, and the ramp wave is generated by this way. The ramp voltage is compared in a comparator 3 with the controlling input signal voltage, and the duration of an input pulse of the comparator 3 is controlled in accordance with magnitude of the controlling input signal voltage. A transistor Q2 is made to conduct by this output pulse, moreover an ON-signal is sent to a zero-cross type ignition circuit 5, and the main thyristor conducts to supply the prescribed electric power to the load.
