Abstract

PURPOSE:To give excellent color-development promoting effect by incorporating 2- naphthyl benzoate in the recording layer on the thermally recording paper having leuco-compound and organic acid as main components. CONSTITUTION:On the thermal recording paper which has colorless or pale leuco- compound and organic acid becoming the color-developer by contact with leuco- compound, 2-naphthyl benzoate shown in formula is incorporated in the recording layer as a color-development promoting agent. This gives excellent color-development promoting effect, also has properties not to cause practically troubles on the ground strength and the ground fog fading after conservation etc. Said purpose can be attained by 1-30wt% 2-naphthyl benzoate content basing on the total solids of the thermal recording layer.
