Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the accurate compensation of time axis with a simple constitution, by detecting the wavelength of the chrominance subcarrier in a video signal and calibrating the error voltage by the detection signal in case the error is corrected for the continuous wave covering a color burst signal to the next color burst signal. CONSTITUTION:The phase difference is detected by a phase detecting circuit between the color burst signal given from a burst circuit and the continuous wave given from a continuous wave forming circuit. According to this phase difference, the error voltage is obtained, and the phase modulation is carried out for the reference clock signal with the above-mentioned error voltage. Then the error is corrected and read out for the continuous wave covering from a burst signal to the next one. In such a time axis compensating device, a constant current source 21 connected to a switch 22 and capable of varying the current plus a parallel circuit of a capacitor 23 and a switch 24 are provided. Then the wavelength of the chrominance subcarrier in a video signal is detected by switches 26 and 32, capacitors 27, 33 and 30, buffer amplifiers 25, 28 and 34 plus differential amplifiers 29 and 35, etc. The error voltage can be corrected by the detection signal.
