Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve discharge and storage ability of a cell by using as the electric conductive agent of a negative electrode the carbon black which is immersed into the alkaline solution dissolving the oxygen acid salt of Mn and is heat-treated. CONSTITUTION:As the electric conductive agent of this cell, the carbon black having a high retention ability of electrolyte is used after immersing it into alkaline solution dissolving the oxygen acid salt of Mn like K2MnO4, Na2MnO4, etc. having strong oxidation ability, then applying heat-treatment. Therefore, the functional group existing on the surface of the carbon black and having strong reduction ability loses its reduction ability by substitution. Thereby, since the carbon black does not reduce the positive electrode active substance of MnO2, silver oxide, etc., this cell is not deteriorated in its discharge capacity and has high operational voltage. Moreover, a lot of electrolyte is kept in a positive electrode black mix, accordingly, the utility rate of the positive electrode active substance is improved, internal resistance decrease and discharge and storage ability are enhanced.
