Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a steel plate of superior workability and high joining strength by laminating and press-contacting an aluminum plate on at least one surface of an aluminum hot dipped steel plate and subjecting the same to diffusion annealing, finish rolling and softening annealing. CONSTITUTION:A plate of aluminum or aluminum alloy is superposed on at least one surface of an aluminum hot dipped steel plate, and these are press-contacted at about 30-60% drafts. Thence, the clad plate is annealed under the conditions under which the recrystallization annealing of the steel plate layer does not occur substantially, and the recrystallization annealing of the aluminum or aluminum alloy plate occurs, that is, for about 5-20hr at 300-450 deg.C, whereby the mutual diffusion of the press-contacted layers is progressed. The resultant clad plate is subjected to finish rolling at >=30% drafts, more preferably, in a 30-80% range, then to annealing under the conditions under which the steel plate layer causes recrystallization softening, that is, 500-750 deg.C.
