Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the clearness of a picture by a partially electifying a toner which is stuck uniformly to the peripheral surface of a donor roller, by a picture signal applied to a multistylus electrode. CONSTITUTION:A head 1 equipped with a multistylus electrode is applied with a pulse-like picture signal 2. The head 1 faces the donor roller 3 with a minute gas and the roller 3 turns as shown by an arrow A while its lower part is dipped in a developing solution 5 in a tank 6. The developing solution 5 consists of a highly insulating carrier liquid and toner T suspended in it. A cleaning roller 4 turning in contact with the donor roller 3 is made of sponge, and rubs against the peripheral surface of the donor roller 3 in the developing solution 5 to stick the fresh developing solution to the peripheral surface of the donor roller 3. Recording paper 7 running as shown by an arrow B in contact with the head of the donor roller 3 transfers an image from a transfer roller 8, connected to a DC power source 9, to the donor roller 3.
