Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform safe operation without requiring the work of pulling the ob- jects inserted into an underwater structure by guiding a probe from below. CONSTITUTION:A probe supporting table 11 is elongated or contracted in an R direction and is swiveled in a theta direction by operating handles 7, 8. Approximate locating is accomplished by reading of an indicator 9, and the locating of an insertion sleeve 28 onto a guide pin 30 is accomplished by operating the handles 7, 8 while monitoring a camera 12. If a cylinder 20 for jack is operated by a valve operating panel 5, a probe mounting plate 26 moves upward, and the sleeve 28 approaches the guide pin 30, and is automatically centered and located by the guide pin. Thence, a piston 39 is moved by the valve operation of the panel 5, and a probe mounting bar 34 is turned cooperatively by a rack and pinion mechanism 40, whereby a probe 37 is rotated half and is remotely located under water. The probe 37 is inserted into a slit 31a by a frictional clutch mechanism consisting of being provided to a mounting bar 34, and its damaging is prevented by a shock absorber mechanism.
