Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable rapid ignition and efficient combustion of the boiler by providing within a combustion chamber a solid fuel pan which is rotatable and vertically swingable, and an ash rake which rotates in linkage with a rotating shaft of said pan.
CONSTITUTION: The upper end of a rotating shaft 3 is secured to the lower surface at the center part of a solid fuel pan 2. The lower part of the rotating shaft 3 is projected out of a combustion chamber 1. A belt or a chain 9 is extended between a pulley 7 provided on the projected part and a motor 8 to rotate the rotating shaft 3 and rotate the pan 2. Furthermore, a cam 10a is provided on the lower end of the rotating shaft 3 to rotate and vertically swing the rotating shaft 3. Further, an ash rake 4 rotating in linkage with the rotating shaft 3 is provided, and cinders and ashes falling down from the pan 2 to an ash pan 16 are collected and discharged through an ash discharge port 18 to the outside. As a result, the solid fuel is supplied uniformly to the solid fuel pan within the combustion chamber so that the rapid ignition can be performed.
