Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the operation performance of an entire coal-gasifying composite power plant, by temporarily storing gasified coal gas and then introducing it into the composite power plant.
CONSTITUTION: Gasified coal gas obtained in a coal gasification part A is purified in a gas purification part B, and stored in storage tank 20. A main valve 21 and a storage valve 21 are opend. The opening of a discharge valve 23 is controlled so that storage gas G2 in an amount less than that of supply gas G1 from the main valve 21 is supplied together with G1 to a composite power generation part C. The gas G1 is used as a main fuel. The composite power generation part C is set so as to generate power according to a load by an amount of G3 consisting of G1 plus the storage gas G2. For example, when the load is rapidly increased, the plant can immediately respond to the fluctuation of the load by controlling the discharge valve 23 in such a manner that the supply amount of the storage gas G2 is increased according to the fluctuating load. On the contrary, when the load is rapidly decreased, the plant can immediately respond to the fluctuation of the load by operating the valve in such a manner that the supply amount of the storage gas G2 is reduced according to the fluctuating load.
